The SolAir™ Wind/Solar Hybrid Generator by DyoCore Smart Solutions

The SolAir™ wind/solar hybrid generator can operate with little sun and low winds. Equipped with the latest in thin film transistor solar panels, the unit provides a continuous flow of energy even on low-sunlight days. The wind turbine has a 98% efficiency rate and can begin operating at wind speeds as low as 2 mph to 25 mph.

While it can operate in low winds, it can operate in high winds as well. It is designed to self correct and turn itself out of high winds, and has withstood hurricanes and typhoons, the manufacturer said.

The units can be operated off grid or on grid. The manufacturer estimates the unit can reduce a homeowner’s electrical utility costs by 20% to over 100% each month. With an inverter, extra unused electricity is directed back into the local grid, which can result in the utility company paying the homeowner! The inverter is available separately for $1,500.

The units are stackable, so once you’ve wired the first unit, additional units can simply be plugged into the first without additional wiring.

Each unit weighs about 45 pounds assembled. The SolAir™ can be mounted on any flat horizontal, vertical or pitched surface and can be either bolted or ballasted down. Optimal install height is along the roof line or at a height of approximately 20 feet.

With an operating sound of less than one decibel, the wind turbine makes less noise than a person breathing. That’s an important feature as communities around the country begin to look at ordinances and zoning requirements for wind turbines in an effort to stem neighbors’ complaints of noise disturbances.

The SolAir™ is designed with a small blade-span of less than 52 inches and integrated solar fin to maximize directional flow and electrical output.

It is manufactured in the United States.
